For many people, taste is one of the key deciding factors, and we have put a lot of energy into getting ChiBerry™ right.
In China, Schizandra berry is called 'wu wei zi'. This translates into 'fruit of the five tastes, or flavors'. They are:
- Sweet
- Sour
- Salty
- Bitter
- Pungent
If you were to taste a traditional tonic made with schizandra berry or if you tried some of the dry, brown nuggets from China, this is what you might taste - with bitter/sour the dominant flavor.
Our ChiBerry™, however, has a unique taste that only comes with the pressing of a fresh or fresh-frozen berry. To this we have added organic Agave Nectar - producing a totally new, surprising flavor.
First reactions include:
"WOW!"
"I've tasted something like this before, but I can't quite place it?"
"Reminds me of pomegranate with lemon."
"Sophisticated! I love it!"
"Tastes a little like grapefruit with ginger."
"Seems to have a peppery, cinnamon-like flavor."
"Tastes like fresh, wild grapes - when you eat the skin and seeds!"
"Not a 'kids taste' like others I've tried. It's herbal, and it's great!"
Chances are, you might have a new and different taste reaction to ChiBerry™. It's a little like wine - different people will pick up hints of flavors that others may not.
We think you'll agree ChiBerry™ has a more interesting flavor than most if not all other 'super-beverages'. We have not loaded it with apple, grape or pear juice to disguise its flavor. After all, the true taste of an herb or fruit is an integral part of the experience.
